Trampler
Most raids get easier once your Trampler can carry the crew, loot, and guns the run actually needs, because it is the walking base behind every deployment.
Repair Tool matters whenever Trampler damage is about to cost movement, access, or extraction, even though every player already spawns with one.
Repair Tool is easy to undervalue because it is default gear, but bad runs are often decided by whether someone can fix the Trampler before the next breach becomes a kill. It matters most when damaged pipes, doors, or compartments are about to strand the crew, lock them out of supplies, or stop the Trampler from escaping. The tool does not win fights by itself, but it is often the difference between stabilizing a damaged ship and watching the rest of the run collapse around one unrepaired system.
Every player starts with a Repair Tool, so the real question is never where to find one. It is whether someone can get to the damage safely enough to use it.

Mechanical Parts is the component stack to keep when the next Trampler upgrade or research unlock is already waiting on it.
Alloy Steel feels worth the slot when a real craft, upgrade, or sale plan is already waiting for it after extraction.
Stationary Turret Control starts paying off when the Trampler can spare both the slot and the 80 mm shell space to make controlled fire matter.
Its best value appears when one damaged system is about to snowball: a leaking pipe, a blocked door, or a broken compartment that would strand supplies or stop the ship from moving.
Repair Tool fixes damage pressure, but it does not replace fuel, ammunition, or a safe position for the crew member doing the repair.
Because owning it is not the problem. The real problem is reaching the damage in time before one broken pipe, door, or compartment turns the escape into a wipe.
It saves the run when fixing one damaged system restores movement, reopens access to supplies, or keeps the Trampler alive long enough to extract.
